Romance Retreat

Focus. It’s so hard to do with miniatures. Much of the problem is brought on by the need to wait for the glue or paint to dry. The wait time is perfect for picking up a different little project, in spite of the reminder on my glue bottle.

I’ve tried to focus on the Bookshelf Project for the club and for myself, but get distracted by other things. This week I made progress on the fireplace, which got interrupted by pillows because I had just the right fabrics for the Romance Retreat. Yes, that’s the name of this project. It came about in the comments on the pink rose chair post. I welcome your suggestions for romance novels to stock the shelves.

Why am I here?

I’m starting this blog because I have learned so much from other bloggers, I want to return the favor by sharing the techniques and accomplishments I’ve developed.

For me, the world of miniatures lets me continue to apply all the skills I’ve picked up in real life, including creativity and problem solving. It is also an escape from the day-to-day and I don’t have to take it too seriously.
